What to expect
The aim of hillclimb is to test your driving skills and your car’s ability in a fun and legal way. Hillclimb competitors take to the track one at a time to complete a timed run. Awards are given for Fastest Time of the Day (outright) and the fastest competitor in each class.
SDMA hosts events that allow grassroots motorsport to flourish in the National Capital and surrounds. SDMA is an inclusive, friendly, and welcoming club.
Competitors aged 14 years and over are able to come and compete in hillclimbs. Members drive a variety of cars, both road registered and purpose-built vehicles. The facility is licensed by Motorsport Australia (formerly CAMS) and competitors are required to hold a Motorsport Australia licence to compete. Competitors are also required to be a member of SDMA or other Motorsport Australia-affiliated clubs.
